It was the wedding of the year, history in the making, a royal and decadent affair. Prince William and his beloved new wife Katherine Middleton- now the Duchess of Cambridge finally tied the knot at Westminster Abbey today. Millions of people around the world were all itching with excitement over the months and weeks leading up to the big day. The media attention and speculation surrounding the dress, the hair and of course the make-up reached fever pitch.
The new Princess opted out of the hired help of a make- up artist for the lavish event and chose to do her own makeup. Shock, Horror! Staying true to simple and elegant style, Kate D.I.Y’ed herself and I think she did quite well. With naturalness and simplicity being her trademark style, the same occurring pattern followed through with her make-up. Sticking to a warm palette of honey bronzed smoky eyes, lined with black kohl, no lashes but great mascara coverage- all peepers were gazed upon Kate. She chose a peachy, pink blusher and matching flesh-toned apricot lipstick with a natural coverage. Overall this gave her a rosy and flawless complexion. Thumbs up to Kate! I think she looked fabulous.
